Cuz that's all I could think of, "Oh god, mosquito central."

I think as we age (I know I can't believe "50" is aging) that we have done so many wonderful things that our hearts tend to steer us down the path that is most fun...and if biking is it for you now, then don't worry about running and just bike.

'Cept I know you are signed up for the half marathon (and according to the 10 seconds I was on FB yesterday, you managed to sign up for a shit load of fall stuff...no idea what though :)) so maybe just have fun with that half and enjoy the hell out of the bike. And in the meantime can you PLEASE explain to me why someone likes to road bike....and how to get better on it.

xoJillhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10174883718651790845noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1901742418169240469.post-83301389255967072792013-08-31T19:15:01.057-05:002013-08-31T19:15:01.057-05:00Omg I love old cemetaries. I love the adventures you have...kind of how I feel on the trail. My rides, however, are generally the same route over and over. I was excited because I found a little 3/4 mile trail not far from my house on my run last week that has a little stream beside it. We may like different kinds of biking but that is where our hearts are.
I don't love training for halves and wonder why I keep signing up for them. The time spent training and doing those long runs cuts into my biking.
I also could have written about enduring those meetings!
I could NOT have written about going 36MPH. Whew! I think that is fast!
My son loves Strava and keeps telling me to use it. It's on my phone so I guess I should.
Your adventures with your friends sound fun.ajhhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04851129364728161965noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1901742418169240469.post-57176231325917804982013-08-19T07:32:36.143-05:002013-08-19T07:32:36.143-05:00Love finding new places to run or ride, trails esp...Love finding new places to run or ride, trails especially!KovasPhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03401299101228398072noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1901742418169240469.post-51644667902084943802013-08-18T21:43:01.351-05:002013-08-18T21:43:01.351-05:00Cool pics! You are in the biking zone.

The lost trail pics reminded me of when I use to work in Highland 15 years ago and me and a friend set out to reopen overgrown trails at silver lake. We strapped bow saws to our mountain bikes with duct tape and cleared a little more section of the trail every week. It was a blast except for the time I had four flats and a mosquito plague swarming around me :-).Ransickhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14084824367872613487noreply@blogger.com
