Oh, dear
Dear diary,
I'm about 20 miles short on the week. Went out for my last long run before the marathon, and I completely wasn't feeling it. More mental than physical. Cut my 20-mile run in half and went home.
I wonder how long it'll take me to walk 26.2 miles.
Love,
(Not so)SuperKate
Now now Super Kate. What's done is done. Like I told you, that last 20 miler aint no thing anyway. You got this.
ReplyDeleteYou are just more rested for the marathon. No problem what so ever.
ReplyDeleteSorry about your run. Better to come home early than risk an injury this close to your race. Like Chris said, you got this.
ReplyDeleteChin up, grasshopper! Everything will work out in the end. A little extra rest might be just what you needed. You rock!
ReplyDeleteAh super Kate...don't be so hard on yourself. listen to that guy in the dress..euh I mean Toga..that is close to a dress right...anyway...it will be fine. you will run this thing. you will.
ReplyDeleteYou WILL do great. I know it because the same thing happened o me once and I killed my race!
ReplyDeleteYou are going to rock this SUPER Kate :) ...actually, the extra rest will make you even stronger!
ReplyDeleteNo worries, you will do it. I bonked at 14.74 miles of a 16 miler today...no sweat, lesson learned.
ReplyDeleteAnd like Caroline says, listen to the guy in the dress! Us Canadians never lie you know ;)
Leave that bad run behind! I had one just like it before my last marathon! I even had to call for a pick up BUT on race day is was all better! No worries!
ReplyDeleteI'll let you know how long the 26.2 walk is. You won't find out because not nailing a single run isn't that big a deal. You have soooo got this.
ReplyDeleteAmazing when ChrisK is so wise, ain't it?
SuperKate will fly come marathon day!
